Club Receives £500 from MBC

The Maidstone Lacrosse Club receive £500 in funding from the Maidstone Borough Council’s Community Play Scheme.

Screen Shot 2015-06-20 at 10.05.26The Community Play Scheme, run by the MBC, has an ongoing commitment to reduce health inequalities within the borough. They highlighted a number of priorities and offered up funding to any scheme that fell within its criteria. Naturally, the junior summer camps that Maidstone Lacrosse offer sit nicely within the scope of their aims.

The £500 funding from our successful bid will be used to buy new lacrosse equipment to support our junior sessions, specifically 10 pairs of new men’s gloves.

For more information on our summer camps you should check out, and be sure to follow our Facebook and Twitter updates leading up to and throughout the course of the camps.

The Maidstone Lacrosse Club would like to extend a formal thankyou to the Borough Council for supporting us in our efforts to encourage young people to stay active, as well as to further promote the fantastic (yet understated) sport of Lacrosse in the UK.
